Search Land Records:
This is our main database containing a searchable index from 1976 to the
present, document images by book and page number from 1950 (book 1130)
to the present, subdivision plans and Registered Land documents. |
|
Books
1 - 2789 |
Record
Books containing our older Recorded Land documents (book 1 to
book 2789), plus higher numbered books that are missing from
"Search Land Records." Images in this section are
retrievable by book and page number only as single page images - you
must separately retrieve each page of a multipage document.

pre-1855
Books |
Pre-1855
Documents: This registry was created in 1855. Before then,
all documents for the towns in this district were recorded in
Cambridge. In 1855, those documents were copied into a
separate set of books for each town in the district.

Plans |
Plan
Viewer: We recommend using "Search Land Records"
(above) for searching for and retrieving most plans, however, this link
is useful in the following situations:
- If a plan is missing from "Search
Land Records" try retrieving it from here
- Older plan books sometimes contained
two plans on a single page. For example, plan book 100 has
plan 26A and plan 26B. "Search Land Records" will
not display the "B" page image, but you can retrieve it
here. Just enter the plan book and page number without the
letter and both images will be accessible.
- "M Plans" - Middlesex County
layout plans - are available here. Enter 00000 (five zeroes)
for the plan book number and then the plan number without the
"M"
- Plans recorded before 1855 were
located in plan books numbered 00, 02, 03, 04 and 05. We have
renumbered those books 900, 902, 903, 904 and 905 for use on this
application.
- Plot Plans have never been recorded at
the registry of deeds. For information about plot plans,
contact the Massachusetts Association of Land Surveyors at (617)
227-5551 or visit their website.

through 4216 in a separate database. Enter the book and page of
the document of interest to you and click "Find Marginal
References" to display the book, page and document type of any
marginal reference that appears on that page of that record book.
