Approximately three weeks ago we began a huge project quality checking “all” of our images. We are aware that a small percentage of our images are either missing or illegible and a few appear under the wrong book and page number. In the past we have had success breaking large projects into small obtainable goals… and that is exactly what we are doing on this project. In phase one of the project we examined the images in
books 1-1130. These images date from 1855-1950. Last Friday we completed this first phase which contained almost sixth thousand images. Phase two started today. The books included in the second phase are 1131-2348… Why 2348?.. Record book 2348 is the latest “bound” book. Books above this number were previously checked for “missing images”, but not “bad images”. We are estimating phase two will be completed some time in early August. Once again…if you find an image that needs repair please let our Customer Service Department know.
