Great commentary, Tony! I only saw the half-time show (not the game), but I agree with you about the Stones. Motown would have been a much better choice!

Tony,

It was actually Emily LaTella, another Gilder Radner character that used to end her
skits with "never mind".

Thanks, Paul

While of course it would be nice public service to share your connection with people happening by, I understand that a drive by spam or worm launch would worse PR for you than for the average happy homeowner.

You can restrict access on your wireless network to a particular port and particular ip address. You could only allow people to connect to LowellDeeds.com and nobody else.

It is possible that these access restrictions can be done with an off the shelf consumer grade linksys or netgear consumer box. (Check the manual?)

I'd begin to doubt the existence of a just and merciful god, if such an access restriction couldn't be done with a custom distro of LINUX or higher end Cisco or Nortel gear.

Per "Historical Data Relating to Counties, Cities and Towns in Massachusetts 1997" prepared by the Secretary of the Commonwealth, there are three other annexations benefiting Lowell:
April 1, 1879- Part of Dracut annexed
March 14, 1955 and August 4, 1955- Part of Chelmsford annexed.
I surmise these aren’t listed in the previous entry because they didn’t include any streets existing at that time. I believe the 1955 annexations were for the portion of Lowell extending into Chelmsford along the Lowell Connector down to Rt. 495.

Thanks for the comment Nana133...I was born in 1951. Sometimes I wonder if my father felt as out of touch with "it" as I sometimes do or is the world just moving that much faster. I read "Wired Magazine" on a regular basis and, half of the Ads seem to me as if they are appealing to an audience from another planet, never mind a younger generation. Sha-Na-Na?? What about the Beatles...you can only hear their music on the "Golden" Oldies station.

What are we born in 1942 called? War Babies? As a consumer group what are our needs and technology?
We need pills, safely bars, reruns, IMB self-correcting selectric tywriters, large-print books, Dick Clark and Sha-Na-Na.We read newspapers, do the crossword puzzle and follow Brenda Starr.
Prime time news evokes memories of John Camerson Swayze and Walter Cronkite. Text messages were letters from family and notes passed in class. The best weather reports came from Don Kent.
Now we are "on demand" for minding grandchildren.
Millennials! Oh my! My oldest granddaughter was born in 2000 -she's one of them!
